Fox Quarter Windows Restoration Guide
Here is my disclaimer: Not saying this is the only way to do this or even the best way...just passing on the process that yielded me positive results....

1. Remove the side interior trim/plastic

2. The inside of the windows have a few nuts that need to be removed-can be seen with the trim removed.

3. Pull the windows from the body, but be careful not to scratch the paint...the windows are sealed with black RTV, so a razor may help.

(Note...if your car was re-painted and they painted the quarter window trim, you may have to use a thin razor or scapel to cut around the window molding-but be careful not to scratch the paint.)

1. Cover and Tape up the glass

2. I used 220 Fine Sand Paper to sand the rubber molding smooth

3. Washed with soap and water

4. Sprayed 2-3 coats of Black Sandable Primer-used Dupli-color(follow drying times on can)

(I had a few dimples and pin holes in the molding after the primer stage, so I had to repeat the sanding process)

5. Re-sanded and reapplied another 3 coats of Black Primer

6. Applied 4-5 coats of Dupli-Color OEM Black Trim Paint

Re-Install

1. Use liberal amount of Black RTV on the interior window frame area(of course clean/remove old RTV)

2. Place restored quarter window through body and tighten nuts

3. Re-install interior trim and you are looking good..

The finished product
