Brake Fluids

i dunno about the s197's or the foxes.. but i know this is the case with the SN95's... (most likely s197's are running it too)... but since fords started running its own brand of fluids it has it own specs to meet...
Now in the case of brake fluids.. if you look in your books and it says High Perfomance Motorcraft Dot 3 Brake fluid.. off the shelf brake fluids will not work for your systems... (well they will but not as well)...the Specs on the HI-P Motorcraft fluid has a "Boiling Point" at 550*F.. the majority of the off the shelf brake fluids in most stores boiling point is 285*F.. valvolines Dot3 & Dot 4 version (which they say is high performance) is only good up to 480*F...
only other 2 brands ive been able to find that both meets and exceeds Motorcrafts specs is made by a company called wilwood... Their High-Temp Dot 3 brake fluid is rated at 570*F for the boiling point... The other is by U.S. Brake and is their Ultra HTX Extreme Temperature Brake fluid which is rated to 618*F
Believe me our brakes do get hot enough to cook the fluids on the stangs... my recent brake problems managed to boil my stangs brake fluid and im only running a v6.. just think of how hot your v8's could get it... my fluids black as tar right now... need to get that crap outta there...
