is it possible to put a super charger in a 79 5.0 mustang, because the earliest year i can find one for is and 86 supercharger, so can a i get a new super charger to put in my classic car? and if so what is it called and where can i find one

It is possible as there are superchargers for both carbed and fuel injected mustangs. If I am not mistaken the "5.0" in '79 was a two barrel carbed motor. It was a wheezer though as the cam was weak and it just could not breath throw the straws it had for heads and a carburetor. I would change the heads, cam, carb, and exhaust before a supercharger on these years cars. After that I would put a roots style supercharger on. If your stuck on centrifical superchargers then you will have to force the air from the supercharger into bonnet that directs the compressed air into the carb.
