I see this question,quite a bit out on the internet, and the answer is this.Every application is different from a road coarse car,to a drag strip warrior, and even your daily driver.

For a car that is driven on the street and highway quite often, rule of thumb is that for a stick car 355s are a pretty good all around gear,and for a fox mustang with an AOD automatic transmission 373s are typically the way to go.

Ford Racing makes a great gear,the edges are beveled to cut down on noise also.

with the v6's usually people dont care much about their mpg... so most say 4.11 for auto.. 3.75 for the manuals... 4.11 on the manual v6's is just too much gear for them... even supercharged..  right now mine still has whatever it is they come with factory... it keeps me happy... kinda wish though it had came with a posi though...
